This smoked salmon dip is wonderfully light and airy, as the cream is whipped before folding into the salmon. It *does* mean getting both the stand mixer and food processor dirty, which I think is worth it, but if you want something quicker, try my Smoked Salmon Mousse or Smoked Trout Pate recipes!

How to Make a Low Carb Smoked Salmon Dip

Cut the smoked salmon into rough slices, reserving some for garnish if desired. Add them to a food processor, together with cream cheese and lemon juice. Process until smooth.

In a stand mixer, whisk some heavy cream until stiff peaks have formed. Add the salmon mixture and stir carefully to combine (I used the beater attachment on the stand mixer at slow speed for this).

Test for seasoning and add salt and black pepper if necessary. Transfer the dip into a serving bowl, and garnish with the reserved strips of smoked salmon.Low Carb Smoked Salmon Dip - LCHF, keto recipe

I served this with cucumber and jicama sticks, but celery, carrot sticks, or homemade tortilla chips would also work well. You could even serve it in small lettuce leaves as an appetizer!

I made this recipe exactly as it is stated except for the salt & pepper. I'm not sure if there is a miss print of the amount of cream cheese. 2 lbs equals 4 bricks of cream cheese which seems to be too much. Don't get me wrong I LOVE cream cheese. Like I said I made this exactly as stated. I found there was very little smoked salmon taste. My husband suggested I get more smoked salmon to add to it. Which I did, but because everything else had been blended I chopped the salmon finely and added. OUTSTANDING!!!!! So I will double the smoked salmon to 8 oz. Also put it on Keto bagels I love this recipe

The recipe says 2 tbs of cream cheese not 2 lbs! But I'm glad that you made it work for you!
