Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a shallow bowl (that will fit the bread sticks into), combine the sweetener and cinnamon. Set aside.
- Cut each slice of bread into three sticks.
- In a separate bowl, lightly whisk the eggs, heavy cream, and water together.
- Melt the butter in a large non-stick skillet over a medium heat. Dip each bread stick into the egg mixture, turn to coat, and add to the skillet. You will need to work in 2-3 batches.
- Turn each bread stick over and continue cooking until golden brown and sufficiently toasted so that it holds its shape.
- Roll each cooked stick in the cinnamon mixture and place on a plate. It is helpful to get someone to help you with this if you can!
- Repeat until all the toast sticks are cooked (adding more butter to the skillet if needed) and tossed in the coating.
- Transfer the low carb French toast sticks to a serving platter with the syrup of your choice and serve immediately!

Notes
This recipe makes 18 sticks - so six each for three people for a great brunch or nine sticks each for two people who are really hungry!!!
1g net carb per serving of six sticks, based on using zero carb bread like Natural Ovens. Does not include syrup.
