In the UK, it is almost essential to have some kind of mint condiment with a lamb dish. Now that I live in the US, I find lamb much harder to come by. But when I do pick up some lamb chops – I have to have something minty to go with it. This gremolata is perfect as it is SO easy to make. In fact it's so easy you hardly need a recipe card for this one! All you need is:
- Lemon zest
- Fresh mint
How to Make Lamb Chops with Mint Gremolata
The quantities are really up to you – it's not as if there are many carbs in these ingredients! I zest the lemon with my fine blade Microplane which I *love* – it is the perfect tool for the job and always so sharp. Finely chop some mint and then either chop some fresh garlic or add a quick squeeze of garlic paste. Mix it all together – bearing in mind that the garlic is uncooked so adjust amounts according to your personal taste.
Grill or broil the lamb chops then sprinkle the gremolata over the top to serve.
