The key to creating this cocktail was finding some low- or zero-carb sparkling water that was apple flavored. The original version of this cocktail uses Appletiser, which contains over 25g of carbohydrates per cup.
I did some research and found the following brands: Sparkling Ice, Perrier, Crystal Geyser, bubly, and Voss. Some of these varieties are hard to track down in stores – for example my local stores recently stopped featuring the Crisp Apple Sparkling Ice, which used to be my favorite. For some reason still water options with apple flavoring seem to be easier to find, but I don't think that they would work so well. I used Clear American Fuji Apple as I could buy it from Walmart and it was zero carb.

How to Make a Low Carb Apple Cocktail
To prepare the cranberry ice cubes, place two or three fresh cranberries into an ice cube tray, and top up with filtered or distilled water.
The cranberries will float and stand proud of the frozen ice, which doesn't bother me! But if you wanted them to be fully enclosed then fill the cavities half full with water, freeze, then top up with water and freeze again. As you can see I made more than needed for one cocktail, but they keep well in the freezer in a baggie!
Place three to four ice cubes in a tumbler, and add some gin and the sparkling apple-flavored water.
Splash a little lime juice into the glass and use a cinnamon stick to mix.
This is pretty much a zero carb cocktail, coming in at only 0.4g net carbs. If you didn't already have a reason to celebrate, start now!
Note: The cranberry ice cubes and the cinnamon stick are for decoration only, and are not intended to be consumed.
