Isn't Pinterest a wonderful place?!?! SO much inspiration – and not only for low carb recipes, but so much more! I often see ideas that aren't specifically for low-carbers, but are perfectly suitable.

Recently I saw these Disney-decorated hard boiled eggs from Smart School House. She used dollar store temporary tattoos to create these fun family-friendly eggs – and I just knew that I had to create an Easter version!

How to Make Easter Hard Boiled Eggs

First you'll need to hard boil however many eggs that you think you'll want – possibly with one or two spare for practicing! I either use my Instant Pot or boil the eggs using a color-changing egg timer that goes in the water. For the tattoos, I ordered mine from Amazon – and  I now have plenty to spare!!! But most party shops will have something similar.

When the eggs have cooled down, peel off the plastic sheet from the front of the tattoo.

Press it onto the egg, and use a damp paper towel to moisten the backing paper. Be careful not to move the tattoo at this point or the image will be damaged.

Slowly lift away the paper towel, then press down the edges of the tattoo to ensure that all the ink has transferred. VERY carefully remove the backing paper. Ta-da!

You can see with the photo above that a little of the image is missing at the bottom – but after a few tries I definitely got into a rhythm and had great success!
