I actually made this dip for the first time for the super bowl – but I've only now got around to posting the recipe! It's a rich and filling dip – so it really does serve eight people on game day – especially when you've got a ton of chicken wings as well!
In fact, on the day in question I was running rather late. I did have the cream cheese at room temperature, but literally just before we left I threw everything in the food processor, took some photos, grabbed a bag of low carb chips and took everything to our neighbor's house!
This recipe is actually very versatile; you can adjust the flavor profile easily. Want more avocado? Add an extra avocado and choose a mild cheddar. Want it spicy? Add extra jalapeños. You could even choose a different shredded cheese altogether and the recipe would turn out fine!
How to Make a Keto Cheddar Avocado Dip
Add softened cream cheese, shredded sharp white cheddar, sour cream, avocado, onion powder, and some pickled jalapeños to a food processor.
Blend until smooth, adding extra jalapeños, salt and pepper as desired.
Spoon the dip into a serving bowl.
Serve as soon as possible with some low carb chips – I love these low carb Baked Bagel Chips – they're super crunchy and hold up perfectly to this thick and creamy dip. You could also make your own homemade tortilla chips, and/or provide cucumber slices, strips of bell pepper, or celery sticks.
You might also like to add a couple of slices of jalapeño on top if you've made the dip a spicy one – just to let people know!
