I have been making variations of this recipe since I first started low carbing many years ago! It really couldn’t be quicker to make – and no cooking involved! I highly recommend that you try it! If you can’t find smoked trout then you could try smoked mackerel or any smoked fish! I’ve shown hickory smoked trout in the photos here but that isn’t essential.
Add the smoked trout (skin removed), cream cheese, lemon juice, and paprika to a food processor. Blend until smooth. Taste for seasoning – add black pepper or more lemon juice if necessary.Try this amazing #lowcarb smoked trout pate! Perfect for parties! Click To Tweet
Low Carb Smoked Trout PatePrint
- 8 oz smoked trout skin removed
- 8 oz cream cheese softened
- 1 tbs lemon juice
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- black pepper
- Add all ingredients to a food processor and blend until smooth.
- Taste for seasoning, adding more black pepper or lemon juice if necessary, then blend again.
- Store in the fridge until required.
