I was in Walmart the other day and saw a great range from Smithfield®! These high quality meats are super versatile and ideal for easy prep meals – whether it's a quick weeknight meal or entertaining at the weekend! They're great for grilling, roasting, or the slow cooker – and particularly handy in the fall when everyone goes back to a routine.
I decided to buy the Smithfield All Natural Boneless Loin Filet – it's my husband's favorite cut of pork so I knew that he would appreciate the high quality.
As we had friends coming over I decided to give it a quick marinade before roasting it – the result was succulent and tender bites of pork that had SO much flavor!
How to Make Low Carb Honey Garlic Pork Bites
Make the marinade by combining soy sauce (or tamari, if gluten free), sugar free honey, and garlic paste together in a bowl. I find that garlic paste blends better than minced fresh garlic, but you could definitely use that too if you prefer. Oh – and the sugar free honey? Cube the Smithfield All Natural Boneless Loin Filet and add it to the marinade. Stir well, cover, and leave in the fridge for at least an hour.
Preheat the oven to 400F. Transfer the marinated pork to a baking dish, together with the marinade. Cover with foil and roast for 25-30 minutes or until cooked through.
Discard the marinade and transfer the pork bites to a serving platter, and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
I served this with some small wooden skewers so that guests could just help themselves, but you could also serve these honey garlic pork bites over cauliflower rice and make it into an entree!
- 2 lb Smithfield All Natural Boneless Loin Filet
- ¼ cup soy sauce, or tamari
- ¼ cup low carb honey
- 1 tbs garlic paste
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- 2 green onions, finely sliced

- Preheat the oven to 400F (200C). Transfer the meat to a baking dish, together with the marinade. Cover with foil and roast for 25-30 minutes or until cooked through.
- Discard the marinade and transfer the pork bites to a serving platter, and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
Nutritional data includes the full marinade, even though it is not all consumed.
