So I've made a regular low carb margarita before – it's SO easy to make once you figure out how to get that hint of orange without the carbs!
But recently I decided to take it up a level – and make myself a SPARKLING margarita!
It's super refreshing as you would expect, and is great for a special occasion! This recipe is for one serving – but of course it is very easy to increase that if you are celebrating with others!
How to Make a Low Carb Sparkling Margarita
Add the following to a cocktail shaker: tequila, lime juice, homemade simple syrup (or you could use Da Vinci Sugar Free Sweetening Syrup – the plain version without any flavor), orange extract, and ice. You really don't need much extract to get the flavor traditionally provided by a high-sugar orange liqueur!
Shake together and strain into a champagne flute. Top up with Prosecco.
To garnish, I used a handy bar tool to make twists of lime rind.
Doesn't it look refreshing?!?
