Summer’s coming and it’s going to be grilling season soon! It’s a great idea to get some low carb recipes ready – and this chicken burger with fresh cilantro really hits the spot. You could serve it wrapped in a romaine lettuce leaf or make some cloud bread buns. Either way, the super easy wasabi mayo works really well with both chicken and cilantro.
To make the burgers, combine ground chicken, red onion, garlic paste and fresh cilantro. Add salt and pepper. Form the mixture into four patties and place them on a plate. Cover and leave in the fridge until required.
To make the wasabi mayo, simply combine store-bought mayo and prepared wasabi. Every now and then I order in takeout sashimi – and always have wasabi left over. It is perfect for this recipe. Just keep taste-testing and adding more wasabi until the desired heat is reached.
Serve the chicken burger topped with the wasabi mayo.
