I *love* how simple this recipe is – just two ingredients is all that you need! It is quick to make and works well with steak, chicken or even as a warm salad dressing!
I have given instructions for just one serving (because when I made it at first it was just for me), but it is VERY easy to increase this for more people. Oh and if you love blue cheese then you might also like to try my low carb recipes for Steak with Blue Cheese Butter and Leeks with Blue Cheese!
How to Make a Low Carb and Keto Blue Cheese Sauce
Mix blue cheese crumbles and heavy cream together in a saucepan (it might not look amazing but trust me, this is going to work!).
Stir over a low-medium heat until the blue cheese starts to melt. Keep cooking until the sauce starts to bubble and thicken. Then serve! I don't think it is necessary to even add salt as the blue cheese just adds so much flavor on its own. But a little grind of black pepper is nice!
So this was my lunch the other day – sirloin steak and lettuce with keto blue cheese sauce. Filling and delicious – and all for under 3g net carbs!
