If you've read any of my previous recipes that include avocado, you might remember that it's a new food item for me. I've only started eating it in the last two years, and preparing it in the last one. It's a textural thing. But because it is both high in nutrients and low in carbohydrates, I've managed to overcome my issues, and have used it in recipes like Thai Avocado Soup and Avocado Caprese Appetizer. So a guacamole seemed like the obvious next move.

This is a smooth and creamy guac that is not only wonderful as a dip, but also as a topping for meat or fish, for adding to fajitas or tacos – and lots more!

How to Make Easy Creamy Guacamole

Place the following in the bowl of a food processor: the flesh from two avocados, sour cream, fresh cilantro, garlic paste, fresh jalapeño, lime juice, onion powder, ground cumin and dried oregano. Process until smooth, then test for seasoning, adding salt and pepper as necessary.

Cover and store in the fridge until required. Homemade tortilla chips are the ideal way to eat this deliciously creamy guacamole, but you could also use cucumber, jicama, or celery sticks.

Who Noms the World

I made this last weekend for a party I hosted for my birthday. And it was a HUGE hit. I served it as a topping for tacos. Unfortunately, yea they do brown, but that's a given with any avocado recipe. Amazing recipe and everyone was commenting on how creamy the guac was!

Does this turn brown if you don’t eat it right away like other guac

Yes I'm afraid so. I push plastic wrap down on top of the guac in the bowl and this delays the browning - a bit!
