This certainly isn't the first Jack O'Lantern themed low carb food that I've created! Some of my other reader favorites are:
And I love making veggie platters and snack trays for all the holidays – like my recent Owl Platter! They're easy to make and usually pretty healthy! Check out all my low carb Halloween recipes!
How to Make a Keto Halloween Snack Tray
Find a round plate or serving platter. Start layering up the orange components, I used the following:
- Cheddar cheese cubes
- Orange bell pepper
- Cantaloupe
- Orange grape tomatoes
I had to re-read my post on how to eat a low carb rainbow for inspiration! But you could also use carrots, orange cherry tomatoes, or anything else that you think is suitable. You could definitely offer a variety of orange cheese.
The ingredients can be randomly scattered on the plate or in small groups – up to you!
Next make the eyes, nose, and mouth from black olives and/or blackberries. There aren't so many options to choose from here that are low carb. You might need to rearrange the orange layer so that the black items stay in place.
And you're done! This can totally be prepared in advance if covered in plastic wrap. You might like to add the black layer at the last minute in case any color bleeds into the orange.
I like to provide some wooden toothpicks for easy pick-up! I should probably get myself a toothpick dispenser!
