This classic Italian sauce is creamy and rich. Traditionally the ingredients are heavy cream, butter, Parmesan, salt and pepper. There are many other variations around, often including garlic, egg yolks, flour, bacon, and more! Alfredo is one of the few sauces that I'll buy pre-made in jars, because the carb count is much lower than in most other sauces. I'll order it in restaurants too as I know I'm going to be full by the end of the meal,

But when I stopped to look at how it is made, I was struck by that list of traditional ingredients, which are ALL low carb (and quite high in fat too, I should note)! With a bit of research and testing, I arrived at this recipe which is AWESOME and actually very easy to make. I serve it with meat, fish, and veggies – it's very versatile. You are seriously going to love it!

This sauce can be made ahead of time and reheated if necessary. It may separate, but whisking will rescue it! This keto Alfredo sauce works really well with chicken, broccoli, cauliflower and many other dishes. I love combining it with spaghetti squash!
