This low carb recipe only requires a handful of ingredients and is both comforting and filling! I use convenient pre-cooked sausages for this dish: Italian sausages or bratwurst work equally well, just make sure that you look for the sausages with the lowest carb count.
This recipe uses a version of my highly popular low carb alfredo sauce – if you've never tried it before you'll be stunned at how smooth and luxurious it is. And SUPER easy to make!
For the noodles, I used Impastable Fettucine made by Thin Slim Foods. You can buy it from Netrition or Amazon. It's soy and shiritaki free, but not gluten free. Here are the ingredients: Oat fiber, wheat fiber, wheat protein isolate, egg whites, durum flour. It contains 8 grams of net carbs per serving. Another great alternative is the fettucine from the Great Low Carb Bread Co, also available from Netrition. How to Make Low Carb Sausage Alfredo with Fettucine
Boil the fettucine in water according to the pack instructions – this usually takes around 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, add some butter to a large skillet, and slowly warm it through over a low-medium heat. Pour in some heavy cream and stir well. Next, add some shredded Parmesan, a little at a time, stirring constantly to incorporate it into the sauce.
Season with salt and pepper to taste, then add the chopped (cooked) sausages, stir to mix, and cook until the sausages have warmed through.
Mix the cooked noodles into the sauce, and turn to coat them well.
Transfer to two serving plates or bowls. Serve with a garnish of chopped fresh parsley.
This is such great comfort food!

I don't have precise measurements like that, only that the serving size is half the recipe. I haven't made it for a while, though - so next time I make it I'll get more info. Sorry!

Hi We can't get these sausages in Australia, would Paleo sausages work just as well? or perhaps chorizo? Looking forward to hearing back!
